Marine Cargo Insurance
Marine Cargo Insurance Policy covers damage to or loss of cargo resulting from air/sea/land shipments. There are three types of marine cargo insurance:
Clause A
Clause A covers all risks of loss of or damage to the subject-matter insured except as excluded in the policy.
Clause B
Clause B covers loss or damage as per Cargo Clause C plus Washing Overboard, Sea, Lake, River, Water damage and Total Loss of package during loading/unloading.
Clause C
Clause C covers loss or damage due to Fire and Explosion, Stranding, Sinking, Capsizing, Overturning of a Lorry or train, collision, discharge at a port of distress, total loss of vehicle, general average sacrifice and jettison.
